Caries Prevention
- First step to prevent caries in your child’s mouth, clean the mouth after teething.
- Even before teething, you should clean gums of your child with gauze cotton.
- Do brushing with fluoridated toothpaste twice a day.
- Fluoride application to prevent caries in permanent teeth.
- Pit & Fissure sealants also prevent tooth decay in your child’s mouth.
- When you see the first tooth in your child’s mouth, visit us.
Kids Dentist or Pediatric Dentist or child dentist are trained to take care of dental complexities of kids and teens. Pediatric dentistry is a separate field dedicated to kids, their Oral Health prevention and preparation for the future.
RCT (Pulpectomy)
- RCT (Pulpectomy) means Tooth Saved Treatment.
- Due to trauma, Decay or any other reason; Primary Tooth of your child can be lost.
- With Pulpectomy, we save the tooth in a conservative manner.
- In this procedure, we do complete removal of dead tissue or decayed tooth portion and then it is filled with medicated material.
- If decay is not treated, it may lead to damage of the permanent tooth.
- After this procedure, CROWN (CAP) is must so that tooth can do proper Chewing or any other function.

Crown
- Crown protects the tooth.
- Crown is required after Pulpectomy & in many cases i.e. Trauma, any injury, discoloration of tooth etc.
- There are many types of crown. Some of them are Stainless steel Crown, Tooth coloured material Crown for front teeth.
- With crowed tooth, your child’s chewing habit is proper and his/her smile looks perfect as if it is a natural tooth.

Space Maintainers
- Space Maintainers are one type of device to maintain a space open to allow the permanent tooth to erupt & come into the space.
- Due to loss of milky tooth (primary tooth), Space Maintainers are required.
- There are two types, 1) Removable 2) Non- Removable
- It does not affect Chewing Function or Facial appearance.
- Design of a Space Maintainer depends upon size, shape and place of the tooth.
- After eruption of permanent tooth, it is required only for a short period of time.
