“Some pains are physical, and some are mental, but the one that’s both is dental.”
Wisdom teeth are one such stage in our lives when our pain reaches its pinnacle regardless of our wisdom. The advent of refined and processed food in the modern diet has reduced the use of all our 32 teeth in chewing, making the last molars lose their significance. Our jaws are getting smaller with every new generation, and therefore, the third molars are finding it difficult to erupt and take their place in the oral cavity. The last molars or third molars usually erupt and
take their position in our mouth by the age of 17-25 years (hence, the name “wisdom teeth”).
When there is a lack of space due to the smaller dimension of our jaws, these third molars, unable to erupt, cause pain, swelling, and other problems.
Wisdom tooth extraction is now painless, comfortable, and simple for the patient, thanks to advances in dentistry. It’s not pleasant to learn that you need to have your wisdom teeth out, but Harsha Hospital makes it simple!
Wisdom tooth extraction is available for people of all ages. When you have your wisdom teeth extracted at Harsha Hospital, you will be treated by a specialist who utilizes cutting-edge technology to make the surgery comfortable and simple.

FACT: WISDOM TEETH GOT THEIR NICKNAME FROM THE AGE WHEN THEY TYPICALLY GROW IN.

Wisdom teeth are actually called third molars. So why do people call them wisdom teeth? The third molars do not grow in until the dental arch becomes larger, which generally occures around the age of 17-25, a time also referred to as the “age of wisdom.”

Do I Have To Have My Wisdom Teeth Removed?

Not always: generally wisdom tooth erupts between age of 17-21 ,When it start erupting 1st time obviously u will have pain it lasts for 2-3 days and its subside, Now if your wisdom tooth its in correct position it will be erupt in oral cavity than you don’t need to remove it.BUT if you have re current pain means again after 1-2 month than it means its not in correct position and U HAVE TO GET IT REMOVED.

Our Specilist Dr Maitrey Bhalodia always says ” Wisdom tooth has only two jobs,1st it will harm you or it harms your neighbouring tooth so better to get it removed”

Because it it a Extra Tooth ,It has not any function in oral cavity

What is procedure to remove it?

It’s a minor surgical procedure, where incision is given than we open a flap than we remove require amount of bone very gently, than we split the tooth if require than we take out the tooth and we close it with suture generally 2 or 3 suture is required.

Is it uncomfortable?

No, pain is merely a state of mind. Gentle Touch at Harsha Hospital

Generally, this operation is performed under local anaesthetic. First, we apply topical
anaesthesia so that you won’t feel any needle prick pain. Following local anaesthesia, the surgery is performed when your teeth are completely numb and you cannot feel any pain. We are confident that it will be remarkably gentle, and you will leave with a smile on your face. We also have a facility for GENERAL ANESTHESIA, so during your appointment, we can explain to you whether you wish to have it done with no discomfort.

Do I need to take rest or leave from my work?

NO, we encourage you to rest at home for a few hours, but you can return to work the next day (if done under local anaesthesia). Simply follow our directions. Postoperative Instructions for Extraction
